The story in the cup

Since 1978, our family has poured everything we know about tea into a single box. This sampler gathers twenty of our most beloved blends, two bags apiece, drawn from the high-grown gardens of Sri Lanka and the herb and flower harvests we hold just as dear.

It is a gift built for discovery. One evening calls for the malty depth of English Breakfast or the bergamot lift of Earl Grey; the next, for the soft bloom of jasmine, a cup of green or white, or the caffeine-free calm of chamomile and linden. How to brew it

Use

1 tea bag per cup

Water

8 oz (240 ml) fresh water

Temperature

Varies by blend: black and herbal teas, freshly boiled (100°C / 212°F); green and white teas, slightly cooled (about 80°C / 176°F)

Steep

Black teas 3–5 minutes; herbal blends 5–7 minutes; green and white 2–3 minutes

Tip — Steeping time and temperature vary by blend, so follow the cue for each variety. Start with the black teas in the morning and ease into the caffeine-free herbals as the day winds down.
