Fruit Tea: Hot or Iced?

By Beta Tea Editorial Team Tea Education & Buying Guide Team Published

Discover when fruit tea tastes best hot, when it shines over ice, and how to brew a brighter fruit infusion.

Fruit tea can be cozy when served hot and bright when served iced. The same blend can feel completely different depending on temperature, strength, and serving style.

For iced fruit tea, brew stronger than usual because ice will soften the flavor. For hot fruit tea, give the blend enough time to show its color and aroma.

01

Serve hot for comfort

Apple, rosehip, and forest fruit teas can feel warm, aromatic, and soothing when brewed hot. Use a full steep so the fruit character comes through.

02

Serve iced for brightness

Brew double-strength, then pour over ice or chill after steeping. Forest fruit and apple are especially refreshing with fruit slices and fresh mint.

03

Balance sweetness

Taste first. If the cup needs sweetness, add honey or sugar while hot so it dissolves cleanly, then chill if serving iced.
